Rune Armor Configuration
I want my armor to be able to use with any build. I do switch my armor if I come across certain monster types to have the best defense.
Here is what I'm thinking / doing so far.
Head armor has minor rune of armor type
Example: Fire Eye has Fire Rune it, Stone Eye has Stone Rune
Body Armor has health rune it
That leave's me with three armor slots.
How to rune for secondary armor. Four elements ... three slots
I was kinda thinking have all the elements except the armor type.
So with the hydro armor have Fire, Earth and Earth runes in them.
Any ideas, or was I too confusing / need to re-word this?

I'd look at what you'll actually need, so you have to buy less armor pieces. Then look at the element combinations you use. If you have a build that, say, spams air spells with earth for armor, don't have your 2 pairs of boots be air and earth. Have the runes on different pieces of armor if you'll use them together.
You may end up with 1 pair of pants for e-storage and then 2 pairs of gloves and 2 pairs of boots for the elements.

I already have all 4 sets and just got Hydro upgraded to the 15k citadel (Fire upgrade is in progress for 15k upgrade).
Since I've been playing single attribute runes, not big issue, I put on head armor of the desired boost.
You do have a point about energy stat strider....
Manfred, not a bad idea, may cause multiple copies of each piece. I don't want to mix / match the armor types due to ele hit location(s) for damage.
If I dropped the rune of vigor, I could put engery storage in the head armor, then 1 of each ele rune type in the main armor. I just have to stay away from the Major and up runes due to combined -50 x 4 health loss..
I know min / maxing to a build is the very best method. I so wish the Adapt armor for the ele was not dropped from the game...
My concern if I do above and start doing pvp, will the only +2 (head armor plus +1 rune of ele type) hurt me.
